Request for Career Speakers:
On Tuesday March 16th between 8 and 9:30 AM the Leominster High School Guidance Office will be sponsoring a Career Speakers Forum for all of our juniors. Our plan is to have interested members of the community be our guest speakers. We would ask the speaker to spend between 30-40 minutes speaking to a small group of students who have signed up to hear about your particular occupation/career. |

This would include:
- What kind of abilities, interests and values would one need to possess for this career to be a good fit?
- How you got to where you are today, (Schooling and /or Post Secondary education needed), (what is the program like), (licensing or certification needed).
- What kind of salary a person makes in the particular field?
- Is there room for advancement?
Our goal would be for our students to walk away at the end of the time with an understanding of what the field is about, what it will take to enter this field that is interesting to them, and to be able to answer the question “is this career path a good match for me?”
We would ask each speaker to present twice in order to accommodate students in small groups and to allow each student to hear 2 speakers.
