Kindergarten Transportation
 
Kindergarten transportation will be done the same way this year as it has been done for the past many years. All kindergarten students who go to a regular elementary school will get on the bus at the regular bus stop. In the afternoon, those students will be dropped off at the regular bus stop. Many parents come to the bus stop to wait for their child, but many parents have the child walk home with an older sibling. This is the parent’s choice.

This has worked well for many years in Leominster. This year we will follow that same procedure. Bus stops in Leominster are frequent.

Students who go to Priest and Bennett will be on buses with only other kindergarteners, so we try to get them close to the homes and ask an adult to be there when the child is picked up and dropped off.

This is the same policy we have always used. If parents have concerns about their child’s bus stop, they can call Mark Boudreau at x332, Assistant Business Administrator, responsible for transportation. He works very hard to accommodate parents whenever possible.
